Display not updating desktop background
In Windows those Hero-wallpapers are located in Windows / Web / 4K / Wallpaper / Windows -folder.Other included wallpapers in lower level folders of that path. The location for turning the background image on and off is located in the Ease of Access settings. To get there: Maybe good to mention that that Windows 10 Hero wallpaper comes with (fast ring) build 10159. And of course one can obtain it from elsewhere but Windows itself is the safe way to obtain it.
But there is a small bug or glitch in this feature in Windows 10 and Windows 8.1.Default\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Policies 2. Under these keys, if you see "Active Desktop" key, delete it. For some reason, first my workstation and then my tablet stopped updating the wallpaper.Open Control Panel, click on "Ease of Access", then click on "Ease of Access Center" and then click on "Make the computer easier to see" link. Restart your system and you should be able to set the wallpaper.Alternatively, you can directly open the page by running following command in RUN dialog box: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Policies HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Policies HKEY_USERS\. If you find it, then select it and look for a string value "Wallpaper" in right-side pane.
